Beginner’s Hoedown

P1160999For many of the Yuma dancers filling the 10 squares in the hall, last Sunday, March 13, was the last time they would visit and dance in Yuma until next November.  Yes, almost unbelievably, the season is almost over and it’s time for the spring exodus of the winter snowbirds.  (A link to more dancing photos from the day is at the bottom of this post)

Surprise guest at the dance was Chewietoo, new family member for dancers, Frank & Kay Mowery.P1170186As always for an Association sponsored dance, folks were generous with their contributions of finger foods for the dance, and non-perishable items for our mission, Crossroads Mission.P1170060Al managed the 50/50 table, which also held a monetary contribution jar for the mission.P1170102Following the dance, the March Meeting for the Yuma Square and Round Dance Association was held, and officers for next season were inducted.  Suzanne Spidel, current Co-President administered the oath of office, beginning with new Presidents, Tom and Londa Mannon.
